Important notes for Club Rides:

Multiple Club Rides can go ahead on any given Sunday. Members should feel free to post a ride and route at a pace they would like to do, with others joining that ride if interested. There is less emphasis on ride leading on Club Rides as all riders are responsible for themselves and should be familiar with group rides.

Hi, is it possible to join the ride this Sunday? Cheers, Grant.

Hi @GS1,

Accessible Ride to High beach
Date : 09.06.19
Ride Leaders : @Henry
Avg. Pace : 21-23kph
Distance : Around 50km
Setting off : Usual spot across from Sainsbury’s in Victory Park at 08:30 - please arrive a bit before
Saddle time : 2- 3 hours
Drop? : No drop (nobody left behind) - but make sure you are comfortable with the pace and distance above.

Hello everyone, this Sunday we will be riding out to the High Beach Acorn Hut like usual in Epping Forest. This is a no drop ride but please make sure you are comfortable riding a road bike, going at faster speeds downhill and able to do some short climbs.

The weather is looking a bit grey with a moderate breeze.

Remember to give your road bike a good check over in advance particularly if you haven’t been out on it for a while - tires pumped, breaks working etc - and to bring spare inner tubes and tools in case of punctures. Please don’t bring rucksacks, locks or unnecessary weight though helmets are required.

The Acorn hut sells hot beverages and snacks but only take cash so please make sure you have enough on you in case you’d like some treats! Otherwise make sure you bring enough water and food to fuel the ride.

Looking forward to meet you all! see you Sunday

Hi guys, I’d like to join too please.

Hi folks, unfortunately due to a lack or ride leaders and up and coming competitions, there is no Accessible Ride going out tomorrow, Sunday 23rd.

Club Ride
Date: 30.06.2019
Avg. Pace: 26kph
Distance: Around 95km
Setting off: Usual spot across from Sainsbury’s in Victory Park at 08:30 - please arrive a bit before
Saddle time: Around 4 hours
Drop?: Not unless absolutely necessary. If you are broadly comfortable with the pace and distance above then should be fine.
GPX file can be downloaded here in whatever format you want.

We’ll head out through Epping to Rye Hill Road then the route winds through the villages around Moreton and Matching Green before heading back. Its a pretty flat route with lots of quiet country lane cycling. The perfect way to spend a sunny Sunday morning!

Don’t forget sun cream :sunny::sunny::sunny:, snacks, spare tubes etc. We can refill water bottles at Moreton and Matching Green.
