An additional note to the above:
We are winter riding now so if you are joining us on a Sunday please make sure you have the correct kit with you even if you feel it’s too warm to wear it, punctures happen and we don’t want anyone to stand getting frozen!

Also Make sure you have the correct tyre pressure for the weather, if it’s wet you might want to lower it a bit as the roads can get slippy.

If you are new to winter riding and have any questions please ask below and either myself or another member of the group will answer

Club ride: Tawney loop
Ride leaders : @MdeBokx and @Henry
Date : 09.12.18
Avg. Pace : 26kph ish
Distance : Around 50km
Setting off : Usual spot across from Sainsbury’s in Victory Park at 08:30
Saddle time : 2- 3 hours
Drop? : No drop (nobody left behind) - but make sure you are comfortable with the pace and distance above.

Hi everyone, Henry and I will be riding the Tawney loop tomorrow, weather permitting (It looks pretty good to be honest). There will be no coffee stop on this ride, but like usual we will take a gel break at some point. This is a no drop ride, but please make sure you are a member of E20cc and are confident with the speed and distance.

Remember to give your road bike a good check over in advance - tires pumped, breaks working etc - and to bring enough water and snacks to fuel your ride and a spare inner tubes in case of punctures. Please don’t bring rucksacks, locks or unnecessary weight, though helmets are required.

The temperature has dropped significantly these past days so please make sure you are wearing the appropriate kit: Gloves, Long sleeves or arm warmers, buffs, long tights or leg warmers, winter socks and anything else to help get you through the cold! You will heat up a bit but it’s better to come prepared than to suffer during the ride.

For those who have done a few rides with E20CC and want to join us on the club rides its time to sign up as proper members - Want to join E20 Cycling Club?

See you all there!

Going to wait for the wind to die down a bit here. Will try and give some notice when we head ofd.

#5

Ah ok, will be in the Signorelli bread shop getting a coffee - any idea when you’re aiming to head out?

#6

Looks like the wind gets stronger further out to Epping so we’ve decided to call it off. Sorry guys!
